Which license applies#
Apps you get from the App Store or Mac App Store are licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Apps you get from Google Play are licensed to you under the Google Play Terms of Service.
This page adds a short supplement from Myro Control, LLC ("we"). It covers Myro:Home, Myro:Home Pro, Myro:Home Helper, Myro:Home for Android, Myro:Home PC Access, CarLog, Boat Care and CellarLog. If this supplement and Apple's or Google's terms disagree, theirs win.
Your license#
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our apps on devices you own or control, as the store's rules allow. You may not sell, rent or sublicense the apps, or copy, decompile or reverse engineer them, except where the law gives you that right.
You control real equipment#
Our Myro:Home apps send commands to real security systems, door locks, thermostats, lights and other equipment in your home. So:
- You're responsible for setting up the apps, your controller and your network correctly, and for testing that they work the way you expect.
- Keep your panel codes, controller keys and Helper sign-ins private. Anyone who has them may be able to disarm your system or unlock your doors.
- Only connect to systems you own or have permission to control.
- Helper's browser control and API are built for your home network. Don't expose them directly to the internet.
No guarantee a command arrives#
Networks, controllers and phones fail. Our apps may lose their connection, show an out-of-date status, or send a command that is never carried out. A notification may arrive late or not at all. We can't guarantee that any command, status or alert gets through.
Safety notice#
Don't rely on our apps as your only way to protect life or property. Keep a professionally monitored alarm, working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, keypads and physical keys. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Subscriptions and purchases#
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple or Google account is charged when you confirm and on each renewal.
- To cancel, use your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules.
- Some Myro:Home apps have a free tier. Arming and disarming your security system in the app stays available without a subscription.
- A Myro:Home Pro subscription also unlocks Myro:Home (Classic) on the same device (the Complete Bundle).
- Preview or trial versions may be time-limited.
- Prices and features may change at any time without notice. Price changes for existing subscriptions follow Apple's or Google's notice rules.
Preview features#
Some features are marked Preview, such as ELK and Savant support. They are early, may not work with every system, and may change or be removed without notice.
Software from us directly#
The Helper MCP server is the only software we currently offer outside the app stores. It comes with its own license file, and this supplement's safety and equipment sections apply to it too.
Updates#
We may update the apps to fix problems, add features or keep up with the systems they control. Some features may need the latest version or a supported controller firmware.
No warranty#
To the fullest extent the law allows, the apps are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses from a missed alert or a command that didn't arrive. Apple's or Google's terms set out the remaining limits. Nothing here removes rights the law says you can't give up.
Ending the license#
This license lasts until you or we end it. You can end it by deleting the apps. It ends automatically if you break these terms. When it ends, stop using the apps and delete them.
